Asger Juel Larsen
From Intern to Studio Manager
In Juin 2016 I moved my life to Copenhagen to become one of the fashion interns of Asger Juel Larsen, one of the most renown designer in Denmark.
INTERNSHIP
A week before my arrival, Asger’s studio burnt down, and he lost 10 years of work. The collection had to be shown during Copenhagen fashion Week, in August, so we had 2 months to create a breath-taking catwalk. The little international team of interns and I were in charge of everything, from sketching, to sewing, to casting the models, to work on the show’s scenography. It was an amazing and thrilling challenge that I will never forget.
THE SHOW
And we did it! The show Burnt not Fried took place in the famous building Børsen (which then burnt in 2024…) and was one of the biggest show Copenhagen Fashion Week had ever seen. It was edgy, strong and captivating and proved to the World the Asger was burnt, but not fried.
